Macworld 2010

This is a meeting you won’t want to miss. The March 15th meeting will feature a wrap-up of the Macworld Expo, with attendee reports and slideshows highlighting exciting news from the Expo floor. Get the scoop on the latest product announcements, emerging trends, hot new companies, as well as a first-hand report about the pulse of the industry.

Also on board - the latest official Apple rollout announcements - what’s coming from Apple, when it will hit the showrooms, and what it might mean to you as a Mac supporter.

Of course, you also will not want to miss our featured new Tips and Tricks to help you get the most out of your Mac and your iPhone.

We are now heading full speed into the holiday season, with Thanksgiving just ahead, Chanukkah and Christmas only a few weeks away, and then New Years right around the corner. November 2009 Meeting

As we look forward to the coming holidays, the November 16th  SGVMUG meeting will focus on ways you can use your computer to help you get through the season and have fun while doing it.To begin the meeting, Billy Chang will begin the meeting with a brief overview of the newest iMac computers released by Apple in mid-October.Next, Ron Streicher will conclude the presentation he began in October by showing how to interface your computer with your home entertainment systems.  The myriad of audio and video connectors and formats will be demystified, as will cures for some of the common “hum and buzz” problems that can occur when you try to hook it all up together. Apple Releases OS X 10.6 “Snow Leopard” Early!Apple has announced that the new OS version 10.6, known as “Snow Leopard,” will be released on Friday, August 28th, about a month earlier than previously expected. As a result, the SGVMUG has rescheduled our meeting plans to provide a timely, in-depth review of the new Operating System at our September 21st meeting. (more…)

Yes, you did read that right. Our monthly meeting for August will be on the FIRST Monday due to the fact that the Main Branch of the Pasadena Public Library will be closed to remodeling. Our August Meeting will be on Skype and web-based communication. It will be presented by Andrew Zima.
