Our April Meeting will feature special guests ESET North America of San Diego. ESET North America is a global developer of security software. Our speakers will include Clark Collet, Training instructional designer, and Damir Seferovic, Consumer Security Product Marketing Manager.

ESET will explore the perceptions about Mac viruses, and discuss a variety of Mac security topics including known malware and security software countermeasures to protect your Mac. Additionally, ESET will present educational tips and advice on how to protect yourself online speed, There will be time for audience Q & A about Mac security and ESET. At the close of the presentation, the drawing will include ESET software.

We will also offer our regular monthly features, including Q&A and our fabulous monthly prize drawing. Don’t forget, members receive one free ticket for our drawing. When you bring guests, you get another free ticket for each guest you bring.

WordPress is one of the most popular blogging platforms — it’s very easy to set up a blog and post text and graphics, and its basic features are free of charge.

Liane Enkelis and Garry Margolis run Metroduo, a popular site that provides LA area residents and visitors with information on activities and events accessible via the Metro Rail system. She is a photojournalist, writer, and college instructor; he is a Mac consultant, writer, and photographer. They will show you how to set up your own WordPress blog with live, on-line, step-by-step demonstrations.

The meeting will be held at the Pasadena Public Library Main Branch Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Following the general meeting, we have our informal Meeting after the Meeting at Coco’s Restaurant, 77 North Lake Avenue (between Colorado Blvd. and Holly Street).

We want to make sure we have current contact info for all members – Name, email address, contact phone and mailing address are requested.

Come and bring your questions or just sit back and see how others use both the main and hidden features to make your computing more enjoyable.
